History

You know those nice history pages with about 10 lines of text and not one of them usefull? This might be one of them. Nevertheless, for the "die-hards" that are not bored by some "corporate history", here you go:

• Progressix was founded on february the first, 2001. This was mainly after the collection of happenings that most people tend to call the "Internet bubble" (that burst). The main services of Progressix in 2001 consisted of webhosting (primarily shared accounts), web design and the more advanced web development.
• In 2002, the market for good web design was fading, so we focussed more on webhosting but also more technical web development. Also, the focus on professional networking consultancy became more evident.
• The year 2003 started with a high investment on new infrastructure. Progressix got it's own IP and AS space and started to provide professional IP connectivity services. Later in 2003, we would jointly start another project which would later be known as Euro/IP.
• In 2004 we continued to expand our network and infrastructure. Being the main supplier of bandwidth, domain registrations and IP transit services for Euro/IP, we decided to professionalise our network even further by adding new PoPs and new hardware.
• The second half of 2005 was marked by the aim to integrate Progressix into Euro/IP and to form a new, single company with just one name and a single infrastructure. Being the biggest supplier of both IP connectivity, equipment and knowledge for Euro/IP, this was a logical choice for us.
• In 2006 we concluded that integrating Progressix into Euro/IP is not what we and Euro/IP want, so we decided to go our own seperate ways.

So that was history, this is now:

• More motivated than ever Progressix is currently working to professionalize both their network infrastructure and also their services to their customers. In the near future, lot's of new services will be available for both end users, but also for the existing and new wholesale customers.
